At RF we understand that celebrating love is to celebrating our lives- and our wardrobes, like time capsules containing each look, the artifacts and heirlooms an archive of our stories. RF is Inspired by fiction in love stories, through art, cinema and love stories we bring to life each chapter by illustrating the stories characters with gowns and other heirlooms.

Designed by Selkie and Wildfox founder, Kimberley Gordon, this is occasion wear from the female gaze. At once both delicately sweet and Seductive, these seraphic gowns come to life like rapturous covers of romantic novels;

"As a kid I became obsessed with gowns. It began with bridal magazines, especially the September issues. The scent of the perfumed fresh paper as it hit the table with a thud. The sheer weight of it in your lap. I sketched furiously gown after gown, 12 years old and enamored, not by weddings, but by women in princess attire. There is some elusive power in a gown! Around this time I began going to California garage sales with my dads girlfriend, scouring them together for vintage satin slips and antique wedding gowns, bringing them home for my trunk in their apartment. I spent days dancing and pretending, even sleeping, in those old treasures. I was in love with art, my sister began taking me to museums as a child and loved the classical paintings. I have always wanted to bring to life the beautiful clothing i see in them, and as i’ve gotten older i am so inspired by modern artists and wonder what their work would look like as a painting.

  • The Gowns come in pieces; Now our bride can choose how her gown comes together. She selects her own look; first the slip, skirt and train, then the bodice, corset and sleeve. Each piece layers over the other with ease!
